Hannah Vaughan

person-using-computer1 person-using-computer1Hannah was home educated from the age of 11 and received no formal education until she studied the Apprenticeship in Business Administration (Level 2) when she was 22.

Before this Hannah worked on a farm. She said she answered the advert in her local paper for trainee business apprenticeships “on the off chance I’d be accepted. I’d never even used a computer before!”

Hannah studied for one day every two weeks, while working for Chichester College.

After she successfully completed the Level 2 course, she stayed on to take Level 3 which she finished at the end of last year. Hannah applied for a permanent position at the college and is now Short Course Co-ordinator /Administrator for the Brinsbury Campus. In 2008, she won the FE Sussex Learner Progression Award for college -led learning.

Her links with the land have continued as Hannah now deals with all the paperwork for farm and land based courses.

Hannah’s hobbies are “going to lots of music gigs and festivals whenever I can.” She also enjoys accompanying her rescue working sheepdog Tod, all over the country where he competes in dog agility competitions. Although she thinks he’d much prefer to round up sheep!
